Okay okay okay fine shut up

For anyone who went to Lily’s party yesterday… uh… did you wake up with your tongue completely BLACK??? I woke up, looked in the mirror, stuck out my tongue, and it looks like I was licking something completely black throughout the entire night. Yeah sure, quote me on that. But I don’t know. Maybe the cake dyed my mouth. Maybe it had something to do with me overcoming stomach flu overnight. WEIRD. Anyway, I’m still hocking up BLACK LOOGIES. I feel much better though, so I guess that’s not too horrible then.

edit: It seems that black tongue is a symptom of taking medicine with bismuth… I took pepto-bismol last night because my stomach was sorta hurting, so that’s what happened. But still… WEIRD.

So okay! Party people! Meet here at 3 PM and bring:

1) A snack.
2) Sleeping stuff if you plan on staying.
3) A present.

:)

BUH, must get better. I’m all achey and sorta cold and my stomach’s felt better. I’ll probably be better by tomorrow – I’m still in working condition. I just hope I haven’t come down with anything. Might just be tired.

Hope to see everyone tomorrow. Feel free to call me at any hour of the morning, I’ll be up pretty early planning last-minute stuff. Remember to bring snacks. :P

HEY!!!!!!!!!!! meme from last year REDUX

Here’s a meme I took a year ago. Compare it with the old answers here. C’mon, do it. >:(

1. What did you do in 2004 that you’d never done before?
Got real jobs.

2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don’t think I had any. I think I’ll make a resolution next year to get a girlfriend. I’ve been sorta preparing for that.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yep, my paternal grandma died.

5. What countries did you visit?
Uh… damn, none.

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
I guess a girlfriend. I wasn’t really looking for one last year, so it’s not like I was “lacking” one.

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Nov 2, 2004 – anyone remember that?

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting a bunch of money, by way of a job with Sun, and having my UTMA transferred to me.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Withdrawing from Calculus 2, getting a D in Computer Science. Basically, my Winter quarter.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I developed horrible rashes on my feet at the beginning of the year that haven’t yet gone away. They’re pretty much as bad as ever, all scabby and sticking to my socks and stuff. TMI, I know.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Gad I bought so much. Probably my IIDX controller.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Went to New York to, well, not really “celebrate” with my cousin who got cancer, but of course he was in high spirits and quite the “trooper” as it were, so that’s worth celebrating.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
The Bush administration’s, of course.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Buying IIDX stuff.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Hmm, so many things near the end of the year… getting my grades, going into the office, playing IIDX in the arcade. :P

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
TaQ’s entire bounce connected album.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder?
Happier.
ii. thinner or fatter? The same.
iii. richer or poorer? Richer.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Socializing.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
I don’t want to say I regret playing all that FFXI, but uh… maybe I could have done less of that. :P

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Spent it with my family, like usual. Had dinner with family friends.

21. Did you fall in love in 2004?
No.

22. How many one-night stands?
None.

23. What was your favourite TV program?
Azumanga Daioh.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
N/A

25. What was the best book you read?
My Pet Goat

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
TaQ’s work, outside of BEMANI.

27. What did you want and get?
Jobs, money.

28. What did you want and not get?
A broader group of friends at school, and regular exercise.

29. What was your favourite film of this year?
Interstella 5555

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Last year I wrote: “Had an awesome birthday party with a whole lot of friends. It was at Max’s as usual, but we also hung out and watched some movies. Can’t ask for much more than spending time with friends.” Ditto for this year, only on New Year’s Eve. :D

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
John Kerry winning the election.

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
The usual stuff, but some new nerdy internet shirts and sunglasses because I need them.

33. What kept you sane?
FFXI at the beginning, beatmania IIDX at the end.

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
TRAN ^________________________^ reincarnation SO HOT but I dunno, I guess still Keira Knightley since she’s still pretty hot.

35. What political issue stirred you the most?
I’ll give you a million guesses and they all don’t count.

36. Who did you miss?
I saw basically everyone this year. Missed my sister at school though, now I sorta miss my grandma.

37. Who was the best new person you met?
New people… huh, there’s only a few of those. I met Ryan and Phil this year, they be cool.

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
Even though drama might be stupid, compassion is important and no one really likes it when I act like an asshole. ;D

39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
It’s hard to quote a TaQ song without sounding retarded so I guess I’ll quote all the TaQ songs and be retarded: “THE MOST DIFFICULT THING I’VE EVER TRIED TO DO IS TO CLEAR THE MIND OH THIS IS BAD THIS IS FUCKED UP JUST DISTURBED GUYS.”

Weird JPEG Quirk

http://www.konami.co.jp/am/bm2dx/bm2dx11/g2arts_golistmas2.html

I never knew that thumbnails could actually be INCLUDED in JPEG images. This is really cool. If you’re using Windows XP, download this image to a folder and look at the folder in thumbnail view. Although in full-size this JPG shows up as a wallpaper advertising the upcoming Secret Live 2, the thumbnail is the wallpaper for Happy Wedding. Weird stuff.

FUCKING U.S.A.!

ARG. The US is being “benevolent” by offering $35 million in pocket change for the tsunami victims. Colin Powell says we’re not stingy!

‘course how many hundreds of FUCKBILLIONS have we spent on aiding Iraqis by killing them and doing nothing to help ourselves?

The US donates the least in overseas aid out of the 20 richest nations in the world. Sure, we’re doing “something,” but that something is fucking MINISCULE. I have every right to keep on complaining.

On Demand

We’ve now got Comcast On Demand with our digital cable service, and for once it’s actually something worth watching TV for… because it’s a lot like a free little video store. The selection is actually quite impressive.

They had 2 episodes of Azumanga Daioh available to watch, actually… I’ve seen the entire series fansubbed, but this one was dubbed. Uh… yeah, now I remember why (if I watch any anime at all) I don’t watch dubs. Although giving Osaka a southern accent was a nice touch, the entirety of the jokes is lost in translation.

For example, that “Bruce Lee” joke where his name is pronounced “Blue Three” in Japan… they basically left that entire joke in, without mentioning Bruce Lee, but mentioning Jackie Chan as per the original punchline. What’s funniest of all is that it seems the channel that it’s from, Anime Network or something, has Japanese announcers with subtitles just to appeal to otakus. I dunno. I stopped watching anime.

Also I saw the episode of ATHF with everyone’s eyes getting horribly infected and squeezing pus all over the place and I remembered why I didn’t really like that show.

More news for those going to my birthday party: each attendant gets a jewel-encrusted Mercedes!

Also, I need to know a few things about driving, like who’s doing what, who can do carpools, etc. Once again, keep in mind that this is a sleep-over, and not only that, but a suggested sleep-over since trying to find your way home early in the morning on January 1st is pretty dumb.

First of all, I believe I will need 3 other people besides myself to drive to Max’s, because there are 15 people who plan on coming. It could be 2, but I’d like 3 just to be safe. Anyone up for doing that? It’d be a great help, just comment.

A few other notes… along with a suggested donation of snaxxx, bring stuff like sleeping bags or other linens. I’ve got a few other mattresses and empty beds in the house, but I don’t think there’s enough for everyone, depending on who stays the night. Bring pillows, too. And toothpaste, and your stuffed animals, and a night light.

Oh, and other entertainment. Although I do have just ONE movie prepared, people can bring other media – I’ve got a PS2, people will probably be playing some beatmania, but you know. You can bring movies, other PS2 games, whatever.

Yet again, I ask: any other ideas? Seems that we’ll either be watching stuff on TV around 12, or seeing if there are any fireworks to be seen… my house has sort of an overlook of the bay.

For those who don’t know my address or need directions, comment and I’ll email them to you. Also Richie and Paolo (even though I’ve been by your house a few times already), I need your addresses.

Yup, all for now.
