I was hoping tension between the neoconservatives and Christians like Ashcroft was going to tear the administration apart. While Ashcroft was pretty awful, this does put them one step closer to ideological purity in the White Hozny.
His proposed replacement is the Bush lawyer that called the Geneva Conventions “quaint” and suggested that torture of “enemy combatants” was acceptable.
I’m too Busy worrying about Gonzales to be happy about ashcroft…
