Ahhhh, you gotta love inside jokes that have never actually happened…..

  2. It’s possible to disconnect from the scene. Living on campus is a weird idea, it connects social life with academics in an uncomfortable and probably non-productive way, puts you in the position of having to deal with all of these people. I would have gotten more out of Reed if I’d lived off campus. Disconnecting myself socially while living on campus ended up making me feel isolated, it was difficult to make friends who weren’t also students, but I didn’t want friends that were students — it would have been better to live elsewhere.

    1. I do want friends that are students, though. And I’ve found a great amount of people with whom I can socialize on my off-hours. I just don’t enjoy spending too much time around the theater buildings (where I have a media authoring class this quarter) because they act quite full of themselves. It’s no big deal at all, though.
