Want to hear something hopelessly nerdy?
I’m on the bus. Right now. Posting this. I get wireless on my new laptop (oh I forgot to mention I got a new laptop didn’t I).
I don’t have much else to do though since the connection’s pretty intermittent so I thought I’d make it look like I’m doing something useful.
So let’s see, to pass the time I will post the specs of my laptop!

  1. I’m sorry, but I just found this too funny as one of my old coworkers also bought a new laptop and posted the specs on LJ today.
“I have purchased a most sexy laptop so I can remain mobile as I flit around the world, it is a Dell Inspiron XPS Gen1 with all the goodies:
Intel 3.4Ghz Pentium 4 processor (with Hyper Threading).
    1GB (2x512mb) 400mhz DDR RAM.
256mb ATI Mobility Radeon 9800 Graphics Card.
15.4″ WUXGA LCD Screen, 1920×1200 resolution.
    60GB 7200RPM IBM/Hitachi Travelstar Hard Drive.
8x NEC ND-6500 DVD-RW Drive (with dvd region unlocked firmware).
Dell TrueMobile 1300 Wireless LAN Mini-PCI Card.
    1xIEEE 1394 (or Firewire) port, 4x USB 2.0 ports.

So yeah. Laptop porn day is today? 😀
Those are all some nice laptops…

    1. Today is Dude You’re Getting A Dell day.
I was torn between XPS and Inspiron… I got Inspiron since I thought it’d be slightly less flashy and maybe lighter… but not with a 17″ screen.

      1. well he’s taking it back to fix it, so hopefully it’s nothing major. what’s fun is the whole reason i was pressed for time in getting a new computer was because my old desktop does the same thing. cute.

          1. It’s an ABC problem that most likely is connected to the network card. My old desktop used to do this all the time untill I got rid of the network card. Just stop using ABC.
