      1. the image loaded. it was a big brown square or something. it crashed AFTER loading and gave me a ‘blue screen of death’ with an error message about being stuck in an infinite loop. when i restarted it said my ati driver failed.

      1. Safari and Firefox on Mac OS X.
IE on OS X also (surprisingly) didn’t crash, and it actually displayed the image. Each Pixel of the image seemed to be abuout 50 pixels wide and about 40 pixels tall.

    1. Ooh nice.
Wait you’re using a Mac, right?
If so, this is like the first instance I’ve heard of where Mac OS X stays stable while Windows XP doesn’t, in the case of a certain program crashing. 😮

    1. Yeah… I just grabbed the closest URL I could find. I was thinking of changing it before I posted this just because I don’t think the picture’s very funny.
So hmm, Opera must be immune.

  1. That was the hardest crash my computer’s had in a really long time.
It’s funny when you look at the source that something that simple can be so devastating.

  2. Mac OS 9 with older version of IE was absolutely fine….. it really bothers me that somebody would create that image, though.
The original, not the big one.

  3. It was the first proper crash of my computer, thank you Jeffrey. I saw a giant brown square, and then the screen went blank, and it restarted. I laughed.
