Sandra Snell: Hello, Jeffrey . Welcome to j2 Global’s online support. I am Sandra, your Online Live Support Representative. How are you doing today?
Jeffrey Faden: Hi, I’d like to cancel my account because I don’t have any use for it.
Sandra Snell: I am sorry to hear that you wish to cancel. Could you please provide me your PIN number for verification?
Jeffrey Faden: 1600
Sandra Snell: Thank you for the information. Please give me a moment while I quickly check your account.
Sandra Snell: The PIN number you have provided is incorrect. Could you please provide me with the correct PIN?
Jeffrey Faden: I just changed my PIN on my profile page because I didn’t know my previous one. I found it though; it used to be 6736, but now I changed it to 1600.
Sandra Snell: Thank You for waiting. I have just located and verified your account.
Sandra Snell: Our records indicate that you have signed up for a 30 day free trial account . Please note that you will not be charged any monthly fee for the 30 day period. You can make the optimum use of this account during this period to check out all the services provided and evaluate your faxing needs. You also have a remaining Gift balance of $5.00which allows you to send upto 50 pages of fax free of cost.
Jeffrey Faden: Yes, but I’d like to cancel so I’m not charged at the end of that trial.
Sandra Snell: Be assured you will not be charged any monthly fee till the end of the trial perod.
Jeffrey Faden: Yes, but can you cancel my account like I asked to I’m not charged at the end of the trial period either?
Sandra Snell: You just need to contact us once at the end of the end of the trial perod.
Jeffrey Faden: I don’t want to, I’d rather cancel it now.
Sandra Snell: You can at least use this service till the end of the 30 day free trial period. After completion of the trial period, if you feel that the fax number does not serve your purpose, you can get back to us immediately without any further obligation to stay back. We are available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Please feel free to contact us at any time.
Sandra Snell: It could indeed be very helpful(as we have found so, with many customers) to keep the account during this period to see if the need ever arises for our services. If so, you will still have the account. If not, then no harm done. You can always contact us back at the end of this period and inform us of your decision to continue with the service or not.
Sandra Snell: As a goodwill gesture for our further association, I would also provide you with an additional gift usage balance of $10.00 with which you can send upto 100 pages of faxes for free.
Jeffrey Faden: It does not serve me any purpose now and it won’t. I’d rather not have to call you back and I don’t want the goodwill gesture.
Jeffrey Faden: I’m sorry, but I don’t want to be charged for my membership, I was told I could cancel without any charge.
Sandra Snell: As I told you earlier you will not be charged anything for this trial period. If at the end of the trial period you feel that this service does not serve any purpose you can get back to us. there is no obligation to do so. Meanwhile you can re-evaluate your faxind needs.
Sandra Snell: It is just a suggestion to retain the account till the end of the trial period.
Jeffrey Faden: What if I can’t get back to you? I really would like to cancel it now so I don’t need to call you back later. I do not want to be charged, I’ll change my credit card number so I can’t be charged.
Jeffrey Faden: I don’t want to do what you suggested, I know I am not going to be faxing anyone, I need to cancel this now.
Sandra Snell: Your trial period will end on 12/22/2004.You can note down the date for your ready reference in your calendar or planner and as I mentioned above, you can anytime get back to us in order to discontinue. We are available round the clock for your assistance.
Jeffrey Faden: So can I get back to you later today to cancel my account? You said “anytime”, what about now?
Sandra Snell: Alright, Jeffrey. I respect your decision and I will cancel the account for you.
Jeffrey Faden: Thank you.
Sandra Snell: We are sorry that you have decided to leave us. I will take care of the cancellation process for you. If ever your faxing needs change, please do consider our service. We will be glad to have you as our customer.
Sandra Snell: Is There Anything Else You Would Like Me To Assist You With?
Jeffrey Faden: All right, thanks for listening.
Jeffrey Faden: No, that’s it.
Sandra Snell: It was a pleasure assisting you.
Sandra Snell: Thank you for chatting with us. Goodbye and take care.
At least I filled out that I was very dissatisfied with the response time for my request. 😛
i have efax, and have for a long time…i’ve never paid for it at all. they just randomly email me advertisements and there’s a banner ad at the top of the fax reader. dad faxes me stuff from home on a nearly daily basis.
“Sorry, I’m deploying to Iraq and won’t be home to cancel my free trial.”
I shit you not; I actually used that excuse during one of my many cancellation sessions with AOL.
geez! I’m sorry you had to go through all that… =(
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand they didn’t credit me. :\
I’m sorry. Gratis isn’t the best company with which to do one of these offers, if you ask me, because they’re experienced and they know that people cancel after signing up. In fact, they just sent my friend a cease and desist order because he has information about good offers to cancel.
Yah.. the free trials don’t seem to be worth it. Yesterday I paid my brother 3 bucks to sign up for Audible. Easiest offer to cancel ever. It’s amazing the difference actual money makes. 😀
Whoops… on my sister’s computer. That was me.
Your sister’s LJ account is utterly priceless, ahahah.
😛
She’s smarter than the average bear.
Has she gained weight recently? :/
Uh, a bit. I don’t know, like 10 pounds?
waaaaaaaaait that wasn’t a “bear” joke was it
