Is there any difference between IIDX and regular Beatmania?
Yeah –
IIDX has 7 keys instead of 5 keys. In addition, its cabinet has a stand-on subwoofer, and a widescreen display – and DVD-quality video is played in the background while the songs played. There are different modes as well, the music sounds slightly more professional than the usual beatmania song, etc. etc.
I was thinking home versions. 😐
There’s no chance I’ll ever see any bemani thing in an arcade.
I’ve actually never played IIDX in the arcade either. Well… home-wise… most IIDX releases are for the PS2, there’s a different controller, and there are still the FMVs in the background.
