UGH! How freaking embarrassing! I was just informed by multiple classmates, that my old song, Inside the Mountain, has the same melody as the theme of CASPER THE FRIENDLY GHOST (the movie). My freaking God. It must have seeped into my subconscious or something. (If I was lying, I wouldn’t have mentioned this in the first place.)
When I first wrote down the song, I said to myself that I thought I had heard this song before somewhere, and after presenting it to a few people, I decided it just sounded familiar to something else. But it actually is the theme of Casper. How freaking embarrassing. I even performed this piece at a composers’ recital… I hope no one noticed. I’m not a dirty plagiarist! I swear!
