I’m excited to start studying linguistics.
Just a little while ago, I was looking up shell commands and I saw one called “until.” Now, I was taught that all shell commands are treated like verbs in a sentence, and it got me thinking – prepositions are kinds of verbs. That is, you could easily substitute a verb for a preposition. Like instead of “this is on top of that” you could say “this is covering that.” See, dorky things like this are what make me excited!
Now if only I can successfully crash Syntax…
or you could just make the preposition into a verb. instead of “this is behind that” you could say “this behinds that”. sweet.
linguistics are (is? we could debate that too.) awesome. good luck.
