So even though yesterday I was like “MY FOOT IS THE BEST!” right after I posted that my foot started hurting like a bitch-hole. I was even at a performance that my friend was going to act in but I had to leave early and get home and make sure that like, my toenail hadn’t become serrated or something, because that’s what it felt like. Sharp, abrupt pain.
This morning I woke up and headed straight to the health center, where I got a prescription antibiotic that should cut down on the swelling, which is the cause of most of the pain. That should let my nail grow out naturally and everything won’t hurt like hell anymore.
Then I used up the rest of my flexi-dollars by going to the fancy restaurant above the College 9/10 dining hall. I got a fondue of 4 cheeses with Francesce for dipping, a local seafood chowder, and dungeness crab cakes with baby greens. Fancy-shmancy indeed, but definitely worth two quesadillas and a shake at the Hungry Slug.
Then in the afternoon I went with Zack and Nico to see Knocked Up, which was as well-done and funny as everyone said! I was laughin’ at everything. I recommend it.
Finally we headed to Pink Godzilla in Capitola, which I said I’d go to before leaving the Santa Cruz area. Because we made a reservation they put us in a private room with the Japanese screen-walls and stuff. The food was nice, too. Really not as amazing as everyone says it is – I still think Sushi to Dai For in San Rafael is my favorite sushi place – but everything was pretty cheap too, so it was definitely worth it.
And now I’m back here and just about to witness everyone move out! 🙁 My roommate his friends are over in the room and they’re playing some Rainbow Six Vegas on an HD projector. That’s pretty kewl.
