Re: Respectively
okay i will admit that i didn’t know it was megaman vi but i recognized it as knightman’s stage. i just didn’t remember which one he was in is all.
18 fps on a genesis emulator is less than convincing 😛
Nonetheless, this is what everyone who saw the PSP initially was looking forward to. Buying one has effectively become an inevitability, but I’ll wait for price drops/emulator optimization first, as will a lot of people.
The Genesis emulator is definitely the worst one as of yet. FPS is shit.
SNES emulator works at 30FPS+, though (with transparency off), and Doom is totally blazin’ (although as of now sound quality is bad).
No. Square button was a first-model Japanese PSP problem, and I have no dead pixels. Even in the case of dead pixels, from what I hear they’re not very intrusive, and you can always return it for a new one if it bothers you.
PSP games are $40-$50, but what I’m showing off is homebrew emulators, which people just got working. And those are free, and ROM dumps of the game are also free, but illegal unless you own them. The PSP doesn’t come with a transfer cable, though, but those are generic USB connectors, and it’s worth getting one for other purposes, like savegame backup or storing movies or other data.
Respectively
Bust-A-Move (SNES)
Super Mario All-Stars: Super Mario Bros. 3 (SNES)
Final Fantasy III (NES)
Mega Man 6 (NES)

Re: Respectively
Come on I bet you didn’t know the last two.
Re: Respectively
For a second I was going to lecture you on that not being FF3, but then I realized you were using the Japanese numbering system.
Re: Respectively

Wow, now I’m really thinking about getting a PSP!

When I saw this emulator awhile back, I knew the creators were just full of Nintendo envy.
So you’re saying the DS can already play NES and SNES games?
Actually, yes.
How’s that?
Two more just for you ;-*
Doom emulator
Genesis emulator

did you ever have any problems with dead pixels or the square button being unresponsive?

Oh, I am so jealous… Are the games expensive?

I can play those games on my GBA already. 🙂
