Almasy, THANK YOU.
I was sick and congested for that whole ski week, and still am...*snrrrk* What a fun way to spend my time off school! At least I don't have cancer...Allison tells me this under-nipple lump thing is just puberty-related. ...yyyeah, so anyway, the week wasn't too bad, despite the sickness and my friends being gone at various points. One standout was Jeff's birthday dinner at Max's Diner (big homestyle cooking place where they do a really thorough job on everything), where we stuffed ourselves and quoted Baseball Ballyhoo more than I can remember. On Wednesday, Bryan left for Tahoe, so we had a last go at the Base to see him off and all that jazz, and that went well. I've memorized Long Train Runnin' for good now, whee. Conrad actually might have a routine for the next SB tournament--I'd laugh at him if he entered...in a good way...cause...you know...it's a comedy routine. Unfortunately, after I got back, I find out that Sophie, who had just gotten home from (what sounded like) a lousy Tahoe experience, was none-too-happy about being stuck at home that night--Bryan had told her he wasn't going that night, but we ended up going anyway without her. Combine the not-getting-to-hang-out part with her being whisked off the next day for SoCal and not getting to do anything at home, and the bad trip and the missing Annie and...geh, you've got one angsty Sophie late that night. So having to hear that whole story unfold and feeling guilty about getting to go was probably the lowest my week got. Almost as bad was me missing the DDRty at Brad's, and just as bad was Friday, which consisted of a "bonding" hiking experience with the family, being congested, and falling and sliding down some rocks to scrape up various parts of my body something awful. But now, something good: The digicamcorder can also take footage from Steve's analog cam (the one I've used for all past exsploits) via S-video cable! Bad: It doesn't get sound. So I could either ghetto-ize the process (woo wooooo!) and record the sound off the camera with a microphone, then (ugh) combine the audio/video with Premiere, or just take the tapes to Jam/Brad's house some weekend. And speaking of weekends, Adam's going Jew Skiing on Saturday, so the Nath Train is postpwned another week. Surprise. -_- I wokked my butt off last night, translating and capturing 4 Starbase DDR videos from analog to digital and then layering on an MP3 for each to make up for the lack of sound until my eyes couldn't take it. The worst part was when there would be a frame skip from the video publishing and the MP3 would be thrown off a little, so I'd have to re-publish the footage AGAIN...it got tedious. You'll see this with Jeff's (sorry, I just could not get a perfect quality video there; same goes for a Share My Love routine of mine). But hey, at least the footage I wanted from the last Base trip is all done now, and thankfully, the videos are all tiny 2.5MB wmv files: Freestyle: Me - 5.1.1. Freestyle: Me - Long Train Runnin' (if any DDRfreakers are reading this, I just had the urge to do a Caution Drop at the end there, don't shoot me :P) Freestyle: Me - AM-3P, Heavy (ripping off J-Dogg's legendary routine) Insanity: JeffreyAtW - Max300 As you can see, Jeffrey is insane and has passed me in PA now. I think part of the reason this happened is because I haven't had a WORKING PAD FOR MONTHS. >_< But congrats all the same on that feat. Next tournament should be interesting. :P As long as I'm on tournaments, it looks like, sho nuff, B3 is going to draw the same size crowd that went to CBN. I'm worried as I see more and more famous DDRFreakers go "see ya at B3!" on the forums...but hey, if I at least don't look stupid freestyling, then why not enter? =) Lyrics! Cocks! Cows! Drama! Nemoy losing it! ...and school's started again, so hold onto your butts. |
