Hybrid - Sinequanon mixes French rap with jazzy Hybrid goodness...I've listened to this almost as much as "Cafe" this past week.

Canada (London, Ontario, to be specific) has been plenty of fun so far. It's Canada--so I like it already. Anyone who's lived in this city will probably try to tell me it's not THAT great (the Blue Jays suck, btw >:), but I love the loonies ($1 coins), the spellings, the accents, the British and French influence, the fact that all text is in French AND English, the, uh, absence of stupid Canadian stereotype bashing...I sound like the Yuppie Tourist here, but I'm liking it just because it's a change of pace from good ol' boy America. There's even a MAX2 machine not so far from here, and I finally got to play So Deep on an arcade machine (failing miserably--I'll get you next time, Gadget). The family and I just got back from a short trip up to the family cottage for swimming and canoeing (and doing GODDAMN AP CALC homework).

On a more depressing note, my grandmother, who went along with us, is slowly suffering from Alzheimers. She barely moves, is confused and cranky most of the time, and has to inhale oxygen from a tube constantly, or else her condition gets worse. She's already forgotten about the cottage trip--she asked how long we were going to stay at the cottage a few miles after we left it--and keeps calling my sister and I by our cousin's names. At one point, she said to the two of us while we watched Seinfeld, "You're a rude bunch...ignoring your uncle like that..." (referring to our grandpa--which REALLY messed with my head for a bit). After this year I probably won't have any more grandma's left...sigh...

...all right, I don't really feel like talking about that anymore. The A-Team is unintentionally hilarious. B.A. Baracus is on my list of the Greatest Names Ever, next to Larry Zonka, Rip Torn, Michael Stretchberry (Henry, there's a baseball player's name you told me that was like this--who was it again?) and Dwayne Johnson (aka "The Rock").

So tonight, I headed over to "Wizards," a local London arcade with 5th mix and a whole bunch of other games, and got in some great matches of MvC2 with arcticninja (of Shoryuken) and some friends of his, which was a whole lot of fun. I actually got some wins in against the locals--and it seemed like I had one of the best Sentinels there (except I still suck against a good Cable). And because you had to know, my Sent runs on Penta. Maybe I should call him "Pentinel" (kill me now).

I'll be visiting the gigantic University of Toronto tomorrow, my second Canadian college of choice (first is British Columbia). Should be fun to listen to the tourguide's Canadian accent, if anything. Cheque it, this accent kicks tonnes of ass (and in flying colours).
