Well, a lot's happened since I last updated here in my fit of rage. The AP Bio schedule has improved slightly, but we're still doing 2-3 chapters a frickin' week. My computer, thanks to the crap I've downloaded, is majorly FUBAR and needs to be wiped clean soon (you know there's something wrong when running Scandisk at the startup freezes it).
To people interested in competitive chess (as opposed to...um...friendly chess): DON'T ever play on Yahoo! Chess, as the guys there are a bunch of illiterate trash-talkers (I'm not sure how they came to enjoy something like chess). It's not worth it. Go to KasparovChess.com instead--you might find me logged in the Playing Room as "JGowdey." The competition in there is tough, though. Though, tough, thought, tough. I still haven't bought FF9 or MGS2. I guess I'd rather save this two year old gift certificate for something else, like DDR KONAMIX~! (more info at DDRFreak). Getting movies off Morpheus is fun, but it comes at a price: Most of them suck. Maybe I'm just choosing the wrong ones (or, the ones that I'd never pay money for--thus that kinda justifies what I'm doing :P), but every movie except Kevin Smith movies (see these someday before you die: Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back) has blown: American Pie 2 (didn't live up to the hype, not as funny), Tomb Raider (uh, no), Not Another Teen Movie (it's not a good comedy/parody if you're just referencing stuff--this kinda explains why I get barely anything out of Fritz humor), The One (mindless fun, but not enough mindless fun). Kung Pow: Enter the Fist is next on the list, and although a friend my age recommended this, it has NO POSITIVE REVIEWS ANYWHERE. Should be good. Coming soon: A pointless Flash animation based on this guy a grade lower than me who annoyed the hell outta me last year, starring me, Jeff, and some freshman guys (actually sophomores, but they still act like freshman).
